During his time as interim president and CEO, Hurlbutt led GRE’s joint bid for Amazon’s second headquarters while spearheading the business development team and cultivating relationships with national site selectors as well as local business leaders. Previously, he also served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of GRE.
“It takes superior business acumen and economic development expertise to serve as a trusted adviser to company leaders looking to relocate or expand to our region,” said current GRE Chair Anne Kress, Monroe Community College president. “Matt has a unique combination of deal making and strategic planning expertise.
